At the beginning of the term, the Year 12 student leaders attended a full day workshop run by Heritage Leaders. The Interpersonal Intelligence workshop explored behavioral and communication styles of leaders and encouraged individuals towards one another in mutually honoring and trust-building ways.
'My highlight of today is learning more about what is means to focus about others. Within the day, we’ve covered topics across trust, personalities styles, and how we communicate to others. Something that stood out to me was the idea that everyone looks at life through our own lives. This affects how our messages get across to one another and, ultimately, we should aim to understand whoever we are talking to. After all, life is better with friends! The best part of today was learning more about our different styles. Though not definitive, they help us to figure out the best way to understand each other. I can’t wait to see how I can use this knowledge whenever I can!'
