The care of Northside Christian College extends beyond the classroom and the school playground towards ensuring the safety and responsibility of our students as future motorist. This goal was achieved on Friday, 3 May 2019 when we took all of our Year 10 students to the Mount Cotton Driver Training Centre.
The benefit of this annual outing is best summed up by a parent who was fortunate to accompany us, as our bus driver on the day. This is what he had to say:
“I am not normally the first person to put pen to paper, but after being part of today’s year 10 physics trip, I must. I am a bus driver on staff and a dad of children at the college. I want to applaud the Science Department for taking students on this excursion. I was impressed with the information that was given to students and the skill level of the Safe Driver Training instructors. I even learned a thing or two. As a dad, seeing my daughter learn life-changing and life-saving skills, was a delight. I would recommend this program for all future Year 10 students. I commend Northside Christian College in being proactive with driver education, especially before our children got their learners licence and P plates.”
