Term Two in Think Tank, the Year 8s were tasked with researching bridges. They had to make a bridge that spanned 30cm. They were given limited supplies of paddle pop. sticks and glue and had to ensure their bridge could hold at least 5kg. Most groups passed with flying colours, with some bridges holding well over 40 kg. This task enabled students to practice group work skills, researching skills, design thinking and project-based design.
