The Olympics are on, and the focus is on sports, so this newsletter brings you sports at the college from 1986 to 1999.

In the first years of the College, there were few facilities and little space, but that didn’t stop Northside Christian Community School from joining an inter-school carnival at Southside Christian College. Two years later, there was a new school crest on the banner to be used on such occasions.

Over the years, there have been students who have been gifted in various sporting endeavours, and the numbers increased as time passed and more opportunities arose.

Sports houses were introduced in 1990 with Shadrach (yellow), Meshach (red) and Abednego (blue). In 1994, in keeping with the change from school to college and a new motto, came the change to the names of the houses to Booth, Elliott and Wesley. With increasing enrolments, another house was necessary, and Graham was introduced in 2000.

In addition to the memories of people in the photos, it is also interesting to see the changes to the surrounds - no oval seating, no gardens, the fenced-off creek and the pipes on the oval, no Prep Building, no roundabout or ramp on and beside the roadway… another walk down memory lane.
