Swimming Wrap up:
Following on from some great performances at the North District Swimming Carnival, 8 students from Year 4 – 6 attended the Metropolitan North Championships on Tuesday 20 February. Congratulations to all students and in particular Jaclyn who was selected in the Met North Team for the 50m Back, 100m Back (3rd at Met North), 50m Fly and 100m Fly events. She will now compete at the State Swimming Championships later in March.
The final rep carnival for the team was the CSSA Swimming Championships which were held at Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler on Monday 12 March. Northside finished 5th on Aggregate points and 4th on Percentage points.
Congratulations to members of the Jnr Girls (Olivia, Isabella, Summer, Georgia) and Snr Boys (Alex, Cameron, Josh and Stephen) relay teams who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. Jaclyn topped off another great meet, taking out the 12yrs Girls Age Champion title.
Junior School Cross Country
On Friday 23 March, students from Yr 3 – 6 will battle it out at the annual Cross Country Carnival at Teralba Park, Mitchelton. The day begins at 9:00am with final competitors due across the line at 10:30am.
