Brisbane Outer Schools League (BOSL)
During Term 3, Yr 6 students competed in Soccer and Netball BOSL competitions on Thursday afternoons. Both teams performed extremely well and made their respective grand finals.
The Boys Soccer Team finished runners up, narrowly going down 2-1 to Scarborugh SS in a hard fought contest.
The Girls Netball Team capped off an amazing season where they went undefeated during the regular season, and won their grand final against Genesis CC.
Special congratulations to the following students who were selected in the All BOSL Team, which is voted on by all of the competing schools.

Reaching for the stars!
Congratulations to Holly J, who was recently selected in the Diamonds cheerleading team which is a Level 6 team with Queensland Cheer Elite club. This is the highest level competitive team in Queensland with only a couple of level 7 teams in Australia and the world. Holly is training hard with her squad in the hope of winning a bid at nationals this year and also Worlds competition next year at Disneyland, Orlando. Well done Holly and keep dreaming big.
CSSAQ Team Games
On Monday 19 October, Yr 5 and 6 students attended the CSSAQ Touch Football and Basketball Carnival. Northside had a very successful day with 3 out 4 teams making their respective grand finals. Congratulations to all students who competed and a very special thank you to all of the coaches.
Girls Touch – won the grand final (undefeated)
Boys Basketball – won the grand final (undefeated)
Boys Touch – runners-up in the grand final
Girls Basketball – made the quarterfinals, won 3 out 5 games
Junior School Swimming Carnival (Y3-6) – Date Change
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the date for the Junior School Swimming Carnival has moved to Monday 23 November. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your support. More details regarding the carnival will be provided closer to the time.
Queensland Short Course Swimming Championships
Congratulations to Daniel VL and Summer P who recently competed at the QLD Short Course Swimming Championships. Daniel was competing in the 50m Breaststroke, Butterfly and Backstroke and set PB’s in all 3 events. He earned a top 10 QLD ranking in the backstroke event.
Summer was competing in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke events and performed strongly in both events.
Both students are eagerly anticipating the Long Course Championships in December.
