North District Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to all students from Years 4 – 7 who participated at the recent North District Cross Country Champs at Chermside. With a late change of venue, anticipation levels were high but Northside performed extremely well, finishing 2^nd on overall points, 2^nd on percentage and 2^nd in both the Boys and Girls division. Special congratulations to the following students who have been selected in the District Team. They will compete at the Metropolitan North Championships on Tuesday 6 June.

CSSA Cross Country Championships

On Monday 8 May, students from Years 3 -7 headed off to Ipswich to compete in the Christian Schools Sporting Association (CSSA) Cross Country Championships. The team welcomed in the 9yr olds for their first representative meet of the season. Conditions were perfect for racing with slight drizzle and cool temperatures. Northside had some solid contributors and as a team finished 2^nd on percentage points and 4^th overall. Congratulations to Isaac Barnes who won the 9yr old boys' event.

District Reps

Congratulations to Seth Ibo (6N) and Joshua Takai (6N) who were recently selected in Metropolitan North Teams for their chosen sport. Seth with be heading to Hervey Bay in late July for the State Soccer Championships, and Joshua will be heading to Townsville in June for the State Rugby League Championships. Congratulations boys!
