On May 10, the Year Two students celebrated International Day. In Geography this term, the students have been making connections to the world and learning about different cultures. Students enjoyed dressing up in costumes that connected them to a part of the world through ancestry, a favourite food, a favourite story or a country they have visited. We had special guests from high school, the Year 10 Japanese class and Mrs Aki Hernandez, who led the children in Japanese games and crafts. Throughout the day, the cohort also participated in cultural singing and dancing, crafts, games and sampling a variety of cuisines. A massive thank you to all our parents who were able to come in to help us on the day by serving food and assisting in our craft activities. A wonderful day was enjoyed by all!
