Filling the ears of our Senior School students last Friday, the annual Friendship Day Acoustica united our secondary school with food, music and free dress! As the day brought together students, leadership teams and grades, everyone enjoyed a myriad of amazing food and entertainment provided by our talented student body.
The event was sponsored by North West Plaza Woolworths, who generously donated resources to make the event possible. A special mention to Annais B (Year 10), who was able to organise this sponsorship. Annais is a proactive and positive light in our Northside community, drawn to supporting important international and local causes. Thank you so much, Annais, for your support and for securing this donation from Woolworths!
Every year, Northside sponsors a group of children living in underprivileged circumstances in an overseas country. Through Compassion International, funds raised from the event will be donated to our six Senior School sponsor children:
· Muel - Year 7
· Van Tuyen - Year 8
· Gilbert - Year 9
· Clara - Year 10
· Yata - Year 11
· Ishak - Year 12
Money raised from Friendship Day will be used to provide education and personal opportunities for the children, as well as support their families and allow for Christian intervention by Compassion.
In donating money towards our sponsor children, the Senior School takes on the embodiment of Jesus’ hands and feet. We continually pray for our sponsor children and their circumstances, with new and exciting programs beginning for our students to connect with them.
