On Tuesday, seventeen students from Year 9-12 attended the Bible Society Masterclass Conference on the Gold Coast, listening to speakers Simon Smart and Justine Toh from the Centre for Public Christianity (CPX) and Mike Hands, a generation pastor from Newlife Uniting church.

Throughout the day, we discussed how Jesus calls his followers out into action - spending time in small groups to brainstorm how we can take that calling and branch it out into our school community. We also discovered that the way Jesus treated people, especially women, was revolutionary in his time, and how our belief in God can have a great impact on our relationships throughout our lives. Overall, the day was a great opportunity to make friends with fellow christians from other schools, learn about God, and be challenged to live for Jesus wherever we are.
