As one of the leading independent, co-educational, non-denominational Christian schools in north Brisbane, Northside Christian College offers the opportunity for partial three-year scholarships towards tuition fees, to both current and prospective students with outstanding academic record. Scholarship registrations for 2020 are open. The EduTest examination will take place on  Saturday, 9 March 2019. 

The College is well-known and respected for its academic results, commitment to character development and passionate community service. Being awarded a Northside scholarship is an achievement of which one can be proud. 

To be awarded one of the academic scholarships, a potential student must score highly in the EduTest examination, demonstrate academic excellence based on previous Report Cards and display qualities consistent with the College mission. Recipients will be selected by the Northside Christian College Scholarship Committee. 

Who can apply?

The scholarships will be offered to Australian citizens and permanent residents who are eligible for enrolment at Northside Christian College.

How to apply 

Current families

Families that are currently enrolled in the College do not need to submit another College enrolment application when registering for the test. Current families only need to register and sit the EduTest examination.

Following the review of the EduTest results, select applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal. Each scholarship application will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be advised of the outcome by mail.

Prospective families

All new families need to register for the EduTest examination. Please ensure you will be able to meet the following Northside Chrstian College entry requirements:

  • Pastor’s reference detailing your family’s regular attendance and involvement within your local Christian church (compulsory)
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copies of two most current Academic and NAPLAN report
  • Medical report (if applicable)
  • Court orders (if applicable)
  • Complete the Application Form

Families who have not previously submitted an enrolment application for Northside Christian College are not required to complete the College application as a pre-requisite to sit the EduTest exam.

Register for EduTest examination

·         EduTest exam for entry to Years 7 and 10 in 2020 will take place on Saturday, 9 March 2019. 

·         Registration deadline is Friday, 1 March 2019. 

·         Registration Fee $85 (Paid directly to EduTest).

What to bring to the EduTest examination

Candidates should arrive and register their attendance at the Library Square (E Block), 151 Flockton Street, Everton Park at 9.00am.  Please refer to the College Map.

Students are only permitted to bring the following items to the testing: two black or blue pens, two 2B or HB pencils, one pencil sharpener and one eraser. Students are encouraged to bring with them a drink and a small snack for the break. 

Students are not permitted to have with them any books, papers, measuring or calculating instruments of any kind, including calculator watches, watches that beep, or mobile phone. 

A form of identification is required for the candidate. Acceptable forms of identification are: 

  • Student card issued by your school (with photo)
  • A recent class photograph with name clearly shown
  • Passport (recent)
  • Current library card (with photo).

It is important to be aware that latecomers will not be permitted to sit the examination.  If your circumstances change and your child/ren is not able to attend, could you please email Enrolments Officer at your earliest convenience. 

Parents will not be able to accompany their child/ren to the examination rooms or to see their children during the break.  Children will be available for collection at approximately 12pm. 

What's next

Each scholarship application will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be advised of the outcome, by mail, within one month of the examination date.  Scholarship examination results are confidential and will not be released.
