Instrumental Music Scholarship 2025

The Instrumental Music Scholarship is funded by generous donors who created it to assist with funding for private music tuition, now for the sixth year in 2025.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be enrolled at Northside Christian College in Years 7, 8 or 9 for 2025 (current Year 6 students may apply). 
  • Students must have completed at least three years of private or school-based tuition in Instrumental Music (or voice).
  • Applicants must receive tuition from a Northside instrumental teacher in 2025.

Value:  

$1,640.00 = the cost of one year's Instrumental Music tuition at Northside Christian College (This equates to 40 weekly lessons at $41 each.)

Duration: One year  

Audition date and time: Auditions will be held from 3:30-5:30 pm on Monday, 25 November, in the CINC building. Students will be assigned an individual time within that period.

  • Students will prepare one audition piece (approximately 2 – 3 minutes) on the instrument/voice of their choice 
  • Students will participate in an interview for the position

Northside Christian College Academic Scholarships

Years 7 and 10, 2026 Edutest Academic Scholarship testing will take place on Saturday, 8 March 2025.

As one of the leading independent, co-educational, non-denominational Christian schools in north Brisbane, Northside Christian College offers the opportunity for partial three-year scholarships towards tuition fees, to both current and prospective students with outstanding academic record. 

The College is well-known and respected for its academic results, commitment to character development and passionate community service. Being awarded a Northside scholarship is an achievement of which one can be proud. 

To be awarded one of the academic scholarships, a potential student must score highly in the EduTest examination, demonstrate academic excellence based on previous Report Cards and display qualities consistent with the College mission. Recipients will be selected by the Northside Christian College Scholarship Committee.

Who can apply for Northside Christian College Academic Scholarships?

The scholarships will be offered to Australian citizens and permanent residents who are eligible for enrolment at Northside Christian College.

How to Apply

Current Northside Christian College families

Families that are currently enrolled in the College do not need to submit another College enrolment application when registering for the test. Current families only need to register and sit the EduTest examination.

Following the review of the EduTest results, select applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal. Each scholarship applicant will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be advised of the outcome by mail.

Prospective Northside Christian College families

All new families need to register for the EduTest examination. Please ensure you will be able to meet the following Northside Christian College entry requirements:

Supporting Documents (without these an application is considered incomplete)

  • Pastor’s reference detailing your family’s regular attendance and involvement within your local Christian church (compulsory)
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copies of two most current Academic and NAPLAN report
  • Medical report (if applicable)
  • Court orders (if applicable)

Prospective families are not required to complete the College application as a pre-requisite to sit the EduTest exam. 

Following the review of the EduTest results, select applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal. Each scholarship applicant will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be advised of the outcome by mail.

How to register for EduTest examination
  • Scholarship & Entrance Testing Information
  • Edutest Examination date for 2024 is Saturday, 8 March 2025 (at Northside Christian College)
  • Registration fee: $90 (Paid directly to EduTest). Registration deadline is Friday, 28 February 2024.
  • Please note, if payment is not made, your registration will not be valid. 
  • Registration late fee (After Saturday, 1 March 2024) of $240. 
  • Final application closing date is Monday, 3 March 2025

What's next
  • Once the results from Edutest have been received the Scholarship Committee will begin the assessment of each application.
  • Parents and students will be advised of the outcome by mail in approximately 4 weeks of the examination date.
  • Select applicants will be subsequently invited to attend an interview with the Principal.
  • From this, parents and students will be advised of the outcome by mail within 4 weeks of the interview date.
  • Please note, the individual test results will not be released to the scholarship applicants.
